Front-End Modules

The RF5506 provides a complete integrated solution in a single Front-End Module (FEM) for WiFi 802.11a systems. The ultra small form factor and integrated matching minimizes the layout in the customer's application and greatly reduces the number of external components to only one bypass capacitor for supply decoupling. This simplifies the total Front End solution by reducing the bill of materials, system footprint, and manufacturability cost.

The SKY85817-11 is a highly integrated, dual-band front-end module (FEM) that supports simultaneous 5G WLAN and licensed assisted access (LAA) systems. This FEM incorporates a 5 GHz power amplifier (PA), a 5 GHz low-noise amplifier (LNA) with bypass supporting 5G WLAN and LAA simultaneous RX reception, and a single-pole, double-throw (SPDT) transmit/receive (T/R) switch.

Skyworks offer two new front-end modules (FEMs) for GNSS/GPS/GLONASS/Galileo/Compass/QZSS radio receiver applications in the 1559 to 1606 MHz frequency range. The SKY65933-11 and the SKY65943-11 feature an integrated low noise amplifier (LNA), and a pre-filter and post-filter. Both devices use surface-mount technology (SMT) in the form of a 2.5 x 2.5 mm Multi-Chip Module (MCM) package, which allows for a highly manufacturable and low-cost solution.

The RFFM8500Q is a 4.9GHz - 5.85GHz high-linearity Front End Module (FEM) integrated with a power amplifier (PA), a single pole double throw (SPDT) switch, an LNA and a power detector coupler to improve accuracy and meet RF front end needs for an IEEE 802.11 a/n WiFi system.

These high power front end modules are 6 x 6mm and have been designed for use in WiFi IEEE802.11b/g/n applications, access points/gateways, WiFi-enabled set-top boxes, customer premises equipment (CPE), data cards and terminals, and spread-spectrum and MMDS systems.

This Front End Module (FEM) is ideal for applications involving WiMAX, LTE TDD, Customer Premises Equipment (CPE), Data Card and Terminals, and Spread-Spectrum and MMDS Systems.

RF Micro Devices, Inc. recently expanded its Wi-Fi product portfolio to include three new front end modules (FEMs): the RF5325, RF5345 and RF5725. The highly integrated FEMs are designed to address the need for high performance and continued size reductions in mobile Wi-Fi applications, including handsets, personal navigation devices (PNDs), digital cameras and MP3 players.

The ANGP-F001 combines a low-noise amplifier (LNA) with a GNSS FBAR pre-LNA filter. This module features a very low noise figure, a CMOS compatible shutdown pin (SD), advanced GaAs E-pHEMT and FBAR technology, exceptional Cell/DCS/PCS/WLAN-Band rejection, and more.
