The MiniPOD™ line consists of a Twelve-Channel, Pluggable, Parallel- Fiber-Optics Transmitter, and a Twelve-Channel, Pluggable, Parallel-Fiber-Optics Receiver. These high performance fiber optics modules are ideal for short-range parallel multi-lane data communication and interconnect applications. The two different modules allow systems designers to different package options to optimize their cable management and board layout.

This optocoupler provides optical isolation in radiation environments like gamma, neutron, and proton radiation with high current transfer ratio and low saturation Vce. Each channel in the optocoupler contains an optically coupled/electrically isolated NPN silicon phototransistor, and a light emitting diode.

They are surface mount and come in a hermetic 8-pin leadless chip. Each channel includes an electrically isolated and optically coupled LED and NPN silicon phototransistor.
