Skyworks introduces two miniature 0402 varactor diodes for voltage controlled oscillator (VCO), phase noise and voltage tuned filter applications. Plastic surface mount (SMT) packages are available for these discrete solutions. These diodes featured a small form factor and are ideal for applications requiring low resistance, low inductance and a wide tuning range. The SMV1705-040LF and SMV1232-040LF are designed for 3V platforms in low phase noise VCOs used at frequencies in wireless systems up to and beyond 2.5 GHz. These general market diodes are also ideal for WLAN, CATV, LNB, energy management, wireless infrastructure and military markets.

The highly integrated FEMs are designed to address the need for high performance and continued size reductions in mobile Wi-Fi applications, including handsets, personal navigation devices (PNDs), digital cameras and MP3 players.

The MMA-061827 is a 6-18 GHz GaAs power amplifier MMIC chip. Small signal gain is typically 8.0 dB across band. In a balanced configuration, input and output VSWR are better than 1.5:1 with a typical P1B more than 29 dBm, and a Psat of 30 dBm. The typical performance is shown below. MMA-061827 can be used in broadband EW and defense applications. Hi-rel and space screening are available.
